Pre-Cat Lacquers | Sealers
Pre-Catalyzed Lacquers are premium quality lacquer designed for use on high traffic areas such as kitchen and bathroom woodwork. This single component catalyzed lacquer provides high water and mar resistance, and is recommended when extra durability is desired. they are more durable harder and more water resistant than a regular lacquers. The Term Pre-Catalyzed means that a catalyst has been added the factory that when exposed and applied will make it dry harder than regular lacquer. This catalyst is usually and acid base and can be distinguished by its acrid Oder. Typically recommended with PRe-cat lacquers are catalyzed sealers or Vinyl sealers. a pre-cat can be used as a self sealing product or you can use a separate sealer usually this is done for sanding purposes, the sealer being a little easier to sand.
