Conversion Varnishes

Conversion Varnishes are two part coatings that are hard and suited for counter and bar tops as well as high moisture areas. These finishes are hard but require a higher level of application skills than the applications of regular Lacquers. As the materials are acid catalyzed they are rougher on your equipment and body, Proper care and safety procedures need to be taken when applying the materials, Respirators and gloves are a required minimum.
All that being said I now have a water born Conversion Coating from CIC Coatings that is proving to be as hard as the solvant materials and just as durable to moisture. ( see the coments on the wood finsihing blog for more information. www.woodfinishings.wordpress.com )
